I'm Tami Dickerson, author of "The Truth About The Truth"; the book that reveals the Jehovah's Witness religion to the general public. Let me give you a little background on me:
I was born and raised as a second-generation Jehovah's Witness, one of nine siblings. It was the only life I knew and I fully believed in the doctrine. It wasn't until I was in my mid-thirties when the Lord showed me the realities of the sect's false doctrine, causing me to be faced with an important choice: Follow the real Jesus (and lose my family in the process), or remain with the Jehovah's Witnesses (and lose Jesus in the process).
After much prayer and many Bible passages, I chose to follow Jesus.
The Book "The Truth About The Truth" tells what it's like to live the Jehovah's Witness lifestyle and explains the emotional hardships involved in awakening to, and leaving, the sect. In essence, the book opens up the obscure world of the Jehovah's Witnesses and reveals information that non-members wouldn't know. I believe it is a valuable resource for anyone who has contact with Jehovah's Witnesses.
Because the Jehovah's Witnesses continually seek to add more converts to their numbers I decided I should write this book so that potential converts can know what they're really getting themselves into. I also wrote it to show the mindset of the sect's members, a useful tool for those who are trying to reach out to them with the love of Christ. The book is not hateful or demeaning to the Jehovah's Witnesses, it simply provides a candid look into the Jehovah's Witness lifestyle and nothing more.
